Welcome to the latest art to emerge from the contemporary visionaries as seen through the eyes of Platinum Cheese.

Looking forward to: Illustrated Type @ Gallery Nucleus

Gallery Nucleus' upcoming exhibit, Illustrated Type, celebrates hand drawn letterforms and experimental typography. In a visual world increasingly dependent on computer-driven imagery, it is both refreshing and encouraging to see the resurgence of working by hand—as well as an expanding community that finds value in this practice.

Over 30 illustrators, graphic designers, sculptors, printmakers, and painters were invited to interpret the alphabet and to showcase work where art and design intersect. This collection explores how typography (even when reduced to a single letterform) can be whimsical and bizarre, innovative and thought provoking, and most importantly, downright fun!   Artist Featured: Yellena James, Kristina Collantes, Ed Fella, Brendan Monroe, Jing Wei, Kevin Chan, Jessica Hische, plus many more.    Enjoy the sneak peek below, but be sure to check out the works in person. Illustrated Type opens Saturday, May 14th at Gallery Nucleus
