David Ball's surreal works exudes this raw emotional energy that few artists dare to tap into, let alone display for all to bear witness. I first came across David's work a few years back after stumbling into a Cigar Bar in San Francisco where I was immediately smitten and in awe of his other-worldly mixed media vision. Recently, David sent the above video by Colin M. Day that highlights the exploration of personal ghosts while revealing his creative process.
On August 13th, David will present new works for 941 Geary's group exhibit entitled The City We Love. The City We Love, is a large-scale group exhibition of works from artists living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. The show is co-curated by Justin Giarla and local graffiti practitioner APEX, and features new work from artists actively engaged in San Francisco’s graffiti and street art culture.
