On December 2nd, Gallery 1988 will present "Devil Town", a group exhibition curated by Daniel Danger featuring 15 artists all creating pieces inspired by Danger's idea of "rural and distant suburbs, dead farmlands [and] quiet and dark towns...". Los Angeles based painter Scott Belcastro is one of the artists featured in the exhibit.
Inspired by the woodlands of New York’s upstate region where he grew up, Scott's artwork is a beautiful contrast between vast, dramatic skies and the meticulously detailed landscapes below, often expressing feelings of loneliness and hope. Above is a sneak peek of his piece for "Devil Town" titled "Backyard".
Save the date: "Devil Town" opens Friday, Dec. 2nd 7-10pm at Gallery 1988.
