On April 14th, C.A.V.E Gallery will debut a collection of new works by BAYO, Hellbent and Haunted Euth.
In BAYO's most recent collection titled 'Inside-Outside', the artist explores the dissociation between a person and his/her environment, as well as between human nature and the most intimate inner self, triggering an internal imbalance that leads him/her to perceive a distorted reality.
For his new series - "A Quilted Life", Hellbent employs a variety of techniques that add a unique 3D quality to his work. He has developed a stencil technique that creates a kaleidoscope "quilt" of color in cubist patterns. The complex compositional puzzle of the background seems to push and pull behind bold imagery. Instead of a paint brush, Hellbent often uses a power drill to etch forms into wood panels, reminiscent of primitive art forms. Always looking to expand his craft by exploring different techniques and mediums, Hellbent has also experimented with a resin coating on the wood - creating a resemblance of stained glass in his work. The complex color patterns are intricately layered creating a vibrant and bold new series.
Haunted Euth is a Los Angeles based artist whose messages are translated primarily through bold screen-printed images and text. He draws his influence from literature, nostalgia, youth culture, graffiti and photography. The new series "All Gone Wrong" is a collection of stream of conscious imagery that provide an anecdote to life's brutal moments.
