Welcome to the latest art to emerge from the contemporary visionaries as seen through the eyes of Platinum Cheese.

On View: Glenn Arthur "Opulent Anomalies" @ Thinkspace Gallery

On view in the Thinkspace project room, is "Opulent Anomalies", a collection of new works by Glenn Arthur. Faintly reminiscent of the 1930s film "Freaks", Arthur's works focus on the unique entities that make up the circus side show. As a self-taught artist, his style is inspired by the stylization of tattoo art and influenced by popular visual counter culture. In "Opulent Anomalies", Arthur uses a variety of media to portray figures of contrast. Their striking looks are off-set by strange qualities that will surely make them stand out in a crowd. As attractive and seductive these characters may be, their oddities cannot go unnoticed. Arthur uses this undeniable fascination with spectacle as an enticing factor in his paintings. "Opulent Anomalies" points out our desire and inner curiosity for the anomaly.

Glenn Arthur's works will be on view until September 6th. Make sure to view this show before it's gone! Take a look at a few pictures of the paintings via the gallery.
