Kevin Earl Taylor paints timeless scenes of myth and ideologies that leaves the viewer wondering whether they're witnessing an utopian future or relics of the past. With his latest body of work scheduled to open on July 5th at Breeze Block Gallery, Taylor continues to examine natural elements as totemic displays with Monumental Adrift. Curated by Sven Davis, contributor to Arrested Motion, the exhibition observes the power possessed by homages with ever changing focus. The symbiosis of rock and flesh depicted within these paintings conveys a narrative with natural and fantastical elements woven throughout an idealistic world. The work will be shown alongside Ryan Stewart Nault‘s solo exhibition I'm a stranger here myself. Check out these preview images below courtesy of the curator and be sure to view the works in person. Show opens on July 5th and runs until July 27th, 2013.
